Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Having a strong understanding of construction methods and materials and an ability to read and interpret blueprints. Analyzing blueprints and other project documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates. Identifying and quantifying cost factors, such as materials, and labor expenses. Estimating work based on the proposals, blueprints, specifications, and concerned documents. Adjusting estimates when there are changes in the scope of a project. Performing quantity take-offs. Working with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices. Preparing preliminary estimates for budgeting purposes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry (commercial or residential). Proficiency in estimating software such as
PlanSwift, ProEst
, or similar tools. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and negotiation abilities.Job Type: Full-time
Experience:
UAE: 5 years (Preferred) * High Rise Building: 4 years (Preferred)
