Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Estimator to join our growing home renovations company. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for residential renovation projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, full-home remodels (apartment and villas) as well as landscaping needs. This role involves analyzing project plans, evaluating materials and labor costs, sourcing subcontractor quotes, and ensuring that our proposals are competitive and profitable.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work with the sales and project management team. Conduct site visits to gather essential information for accurate estimating. Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, permits, and subcontractor work. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain current pricing and timelines. Analyze and compare quotes to ensure best value and compliance with scope. Maintain and update a database of costs, vendors, and historical estimates. Provide value engineering solutions to help manage client budgets. Prepare formal written estimates and participate in client proposal presentations if needed. Assist with project budgeting, change order pricing, and cost tracking during construction. Stay current with construction trends, building codes, and material innovations.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as an estimator in residential construction or home renovations (3+ years preferred). Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Background in carpentry, contracting, or construction management. Proficient in estimating software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Languages : English (must) , Hindi (must), Malayalam (preferred) Valid driver's license (preferred)
