Job Description
The Fit-Out Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for interior fit-out and refurbishment projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of materials and finishes, and experience with UAE market pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand the scope of work. Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects (commercial, residential, retail, F&B, etc.). Quantify materials, labor, and subcontractor requirements. Source and negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns. Coordinate with the design, procurement, and project management teams for cost inputs. Analyze project risks and provide value engineering recommendations. Prepare tender submissions and ensure compliance with client requirements. Update and maintain the database of material and labor rates. Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in
Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Interior Design
.3-7 years
of relevant experience infit-out estimation
(UAE/GCC experience preferred). Strong knowledge offit-out materials
, finishes, joinery, and MEP interfaces. Proficiency inAutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software
. Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Preferred:
Experience in
commercial, retail, hospitality, or high-end residential
fit-out projects. Familiarity withUAE market rates and suppliers
. Knowledge ofFIDIC contracts
