We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to play a pivotal role in our pre-construction team. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for major construction projects, ensuring our bids are both accurate and profitable.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope fully.
Perform precise quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) using industry-standard software.
Source and analyze material, equipment, and subcontractor quotations from the UAE market.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including direct costs, indirect costs, overhead, and risk contingency.
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Present estimates and participate in bid review meetings with senior management.
Stay updated with local market trends, material prices, and construction methodologies in the UAE.
Essential Requirements:
A minimum of
5 years of proven experience as an Estimator in the UAE construction industry.
A strong portfolio of experience on building construction projects.
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, etc.) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
In-depth knowledge of local construction practices, materials, and contract procedures.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
