We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. You will be responsible for reviewing project plans and preparing accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and time. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, knowledge of construction processes, and can work well with project teams to support successful and profitable bids.
Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates.
Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to establish project timelines and budgets.
Analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
Maintain current and accurate data on prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering options.
Attend pre-bid meetings as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Estimator in [construction/engineering/etc.]
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar)
Strong math and analytical skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
[Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred)]
