JOB DESCRIPTION - ESTIMATOR
Position: Estimator
Location: Dubai
Experience Required: Minimum 4-5 years in the UAE (preferably in interior fit-out or construction field)
Key Responsibilities:
*Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
*Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted works.
*Take off quantities from architectural and MEP drawings using estimation software or manual methods.
*Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
*Prepare BOQs, cost breakdowns, and final tender submissions.
*Liaise with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing.
*Attend pre-tender meetings, site visits, and client briefings when required.
*Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
*Maintain a database of rates, material prices, and subcontractor costs for future reference.
*Track and analyze market trends, price escalations, and competitor pricing.
Requirements:
*Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
*Strong knowledge of estimation techniques, tender procedures, and pricing.
*Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
*Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
*Good communication and negotiation skills.
