Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed estimates.
Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier bids.
Create and present cost analysis reports and competitive bid proposals.
Evaluate risks and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
Maintain up-to-date records of estimates, bids, and awarded contracts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry (commercial or residential).
Proficiency in estimating software such as
PlanSwift, ProEst
, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and negotiation abilities.
