The Estimator(Construction) is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications and other project documents. The role requires coordination with various departments and suppliers to ensure estimates align with technical requirements and market rates, supporting the company's bidding and project planning efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects in accordance with project specifications, design documents, and industry standards.
Review tender documents, drawings, and BOQs to determine scope and pricing requirements.
Obtain and analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure estimates reflect current costs and construction methodologies.
Develop and maintain a database of cost information and unit rates for future reference and benchmarking.
Contribute to value engineering and cost optimization proposals during the bidding phase.
Ensure all estimation files and documentation are systematically organized and archived.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in facade, fit-out, or building projects.
Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing trends.
Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Excel, CCS Candy, PlanSwift, or similar) and MS Office.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
