Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Estimator

with multi-disciplinary experience in

Civil, Interior Fit-Out, and MEP works

. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for complete construction and fit-out projects, analyzing project drawings and documents, obtaining supplier/subcontractor quotes, and preparing competitive bid submissions. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of building materials, interior finishes, and MEP systems to ensure accurate and profitable project costings.

Key Responsibilities: General Estimation:

Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs for civil, interior, and MEP works. Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates, including quantity take-offs. Analyze project scope and identify potential risks, variations, and value engineering opportunities. Obtain and analyze quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare and submit RFIs for design clarifications during the tender stage. Coordinate with internal departments (design, procurement, planning) to ensure accurate estimates.

Civil Works Estimation:

Estimate structural and architectural components (excavation, concrete, blockwork, waterproofing, etc.). Understand site development works (roads, paving, drainage, utilities). Evaluate civil construction methods and productivity rates.

Fit-Out Works Estimation:

Estimate complete interior works: partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, painting, and decorative finishes. Assess cost for specialized works such as gypsum, stone/marble, custom carpentry, glass, and metal works. Evaluate materials based on client specifications and propose cost-saving alternatives where applicable.

MEP Works Estimation:

Estimate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and fire fighting systems in coordination with design team. Understand installation methods, routing, material specifications, and local code requirements. Coordinate with specialized MEP subcontractors and suppliers for quotes and technical compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field. [5-10+] years of experience in estimation covering

civil, fit-out, and MEP

disciplines. Proven experience with commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, or office fit-out projects is a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost drivers. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for cost breakdowns and comparative analysis. Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

Preferred:

Knowledge of local market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors. Familiarity with Design & Build contract models. Experience in fast-track or high-end interior fit-out projects is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Office-based with occasional site visits or client meetings. Must be flexible to work extended hours to meet tender submission deadlines.
