Role Overview:

Cost estimation for structural steel works. This involves analysing drawings, performing quantity take-offs, gathering supplier quotes, and preparing detailed proposals for steel structure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze architectural and structural drawings and BOQs for steel structures (including fabrication and erection). Calculate accurate quantities for labor, materials, steel, and equipment. Prepare detailed, competitive estimates and tender documents with clear scope and assumptions. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to collect up-to-date prices. Conduct site visits to validate quantities and assess conditions. Monitor procurement and project cost performance; suggest value-engineering opportunities. Participate in tender and client clarification meetings; assist with negotiations. Maintain comprehensive pricing databases and documentation history. Site execution Sample arrangement and submit for client approval Vendor pre-qualification Site co-ordination (site progress)

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related.

3-5 years UAE experience

in estimation of

structural steel works

mandatory. Strong technical understanding of

steel fabrication and erection methods

, welding symbols, steel grade variations, and detailing practices. Proficient in MS Excel. Excellent analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple bids under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills UAE driving license preferred; willingness to conduct site visits.
