to prepare accurate cost estimates, perform quantity take-offs, and support tendering activities for construction projects. The ideal candidate will analyze project specifications and drawings, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and deliver competitive and realistic project cost proposals.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and technical drawings and specifications
Conduct
quantity take-offs
and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
Develop detailed
cost estimates
for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, logistics, and overheads
Source, request, and evaluate
vendor/subcontractor quotations
Prepare
tender submissions
, cost summaries, and pricing documentation
Collaborate with procurement, design, and project teams for accurate input data
Review project scopes and highlight exclusions/assumptions in estimates
Support
value engineering
initiatives to optimize cost-performance
Maintain and update cost databases, rates, and estimation templates
Assist with pre-contract negotiations and clarification queries
Ensure compliance with UAE standards, regulations, and client requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in
Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture
, or related field
3+ years
of experience in estimating (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
Strong understanding of construction processes and costing principles
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
and
MS Excel
(knowledge of estimation software like CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam is a plus)
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Good communication and negotiation skills
Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
English proficiency (Arabic is an advantage)
