Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Estimator

with expertise in

Architectural Fitout

works to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for interior fitout projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications, budgets, and timelines. The role involves reviewing drawings, coordinating with design and procurement teams, and supporting the tendering and execution process for commercial, retail, and residential fitout projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare Detailed Estimates:

Accurately estimate costs for all architectural fitout works including partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, wall finishes, doors, and decorative elements.

Project Evaluation:

Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to determine material, labor, and time requirements.

Material Take-Off:

Conduct precise quantity take-offs from architectural drawings and specifications.

Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination:

Source quotations, evaluate supplier and subcontractor proposals, and negotiate terms to ensure best value.

Cost Analysis:

Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns for materials, labor, subcontracting, and overheads, ensuring estimates are competitive and profitable.

Tender Documentation:

Prepare and submit tender and quotation documents, including scope of works, clarifications, and cost summaries.

Design Coordination:

Work closely with design and project teams to clarify specifications, resolve discrepancies, and optimize material selections for cost efficiency.

Value Engineering:

Identify opportunities for cost savings and recommend alternative materials or methods without compromising quality.

Project Scheduling Support:

Assist in developing project timelines based on procurement and execution requirements.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain updated records of estimates, quotations, and correspondence related to each project.

Market Knowledge:

Stay updated with current market rates, material innovations, and fitout trends.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design (preferred).

Experience:

Minimum

3 years

of experience as an Estimator in

Architectural Fitout or Interior Contracting

within the UAE. Strong understanding of interior fitout materials, finishes, and joinery components.

Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in estimating and tendering software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel-based estimation templates, or equivalent). Strong technical knowledge of interior finishes and fitout systems. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Effective communication and negotiation abilities. Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
