The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimations for interior fit-out projects, ensuring both profitability and compliance with client requirements. This role demands strong analytical skills, advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, and a solid understanding of fit-out works, vendor sourcing, and market pricing.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare BOQs, detailed cost estimates, and tender documentation for fit-out projects.
Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
Source, compare, and evaluate vendor/supplier quotations for materials and subcontractor works.
Apply advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, conditional formatting, etc.) to streamline estimation and reporting.
Coordinate with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to align costings with project scope.
Maintain and regularly update cost databases for materials, labor, and subcontractors.
Validate technical drawings to ensure accurate coverage of project scope.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
3-5 years of proven experience
in estimation within the fit-out or interior contracting sector.
Strong command of Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge of local market pricing, suppliers, and sourcing strategies.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and organizational abilities.
