The Estimator will work closely with the Sales, Design, and Project Management teams to ensure precise pricing and profitability for the company.
Key Responsibilities Tendering & Cost Estimation
Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare detailed cost estimates.

Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tender documents within deadlines.
Analyze labor, materials, subcontractor quotes, and overheads to arrive at competitive pricing.

cost estimates
include necessary profit margins and align with company targets.
Budgeting & Cost Control Support
Support project budgeting activities.
Monitor material and labour cost variations.
Update cost sheets, forecasts, and cost reports.
Coordination & Documentation
Coordinate with the Design team for drawings, revisions, and clarifications.
Liaise with the Procurement team for updated material prices and supplier quotations.
Maintain a database of material rates, subcontractor rates, and project costs.
Prepare value engineering alternatives to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Attend internal review meetings.
Client & Sales Support
Support the Sales team in preparing proposals and presentations.
Attend client/consultant meetings to clarify technical and commercial queries.
Assist in negotiations with clients and subcontractors when required.
Post-Tender & Handover
Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for approved projects.
Handover all estimation details, BOQs, and cost sheets to the Project Manager for execution.
Support in preparing variation orders and cost adjustments during project execution.
Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare Comparative Statements (CSTs).
Design & Drawing Review
Review IFC drawings for scope clarity.
Identify discrepancies, gaps, and ambiguities.
Raise Queries to Operations/ Project Managers.
Suggest Value engineering and cost - saving alternatives.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Knowledge of interior fit-out works (joinery, MEP, civil, finishes).
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in
MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic reading), and estimation software/Zoho CRM
.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tenders.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
2-3 years' experience
as an Estimator in the UAE interior fit-out industry.
Strong knowledge of
BOQs, take -offs, and tendering
.
Strong understanding of
local suppliers, subcontractors, Material Rates, and market rates
.
Reporting To
Reports directly to the
