To prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fabrication projects involving pressure vessels,
heat exchangers, tanks, and pipe spools in accordance with client specifications, applicable codes (ASME,
API, etc.), and company standards. The role ensures timely preparation of techno-commercial proposals
to support the company's business development and project acquisition goals.

Key Responsibilities
1.? ?Tendering & Estimation
Review and analyse client inquiries, RFQs, ITBs, and tender documents.
Study project specifications, drawings, data sheets, and applicable codes (ASME Sec VIII, B31.3,
API, etc.).
Prepare material take-o5 (MTO) for plates, pipes, fittings, flanges, valves, welding consumables,
and bought-out items.
Estimate fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, NDT, painting, and testing costs.
Calculate man-hours and production rates for fabrication, welding, and erection works.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare detailed cost sheets, pricing, and techno-commercial orders.

2.? ?Technical & Commercial Support
Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams to validate estimates.
Provide technical clarifications and responses to client queries during bidding.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, technical reviews, and negotiations.
Support sales and business development teams with pricing strategy.

3.? ?Project Handover & Control
Ensure smooth handover of awarded projects to the execution team with complete estimation
data.
Maintain database of cost norms, supplier rates, and productivity benchmarks.
Qualifications & Skills

Education:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or
related discipline.

Experience
: 3-5 years in estimation within the fabrication industry.

Technical Knowledge:
Knowledge of WPS/PQR/Welder qualifications
Familiarity with material grades (CS, SS, alloy steel, exotic metals) and various raw
material products and forms (plates / flanges / fittings / welding consumables etc.)
Knowledge of fabrication processes (cutting, rolling, welding, machining, hydrotesting,
