To support the Estimation Department in preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, quotations, and technical submissions for aluminium and glass projects. The Estimation Assistant will coordinate with suppliers, collect data, prepare documents, and assist in ensuring timely submission of tenders and quotations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Estimation Support
Assist in preparing aluminium, glass, and facade project quotations.
Prepare BOQs, cost sheets, and comparison sheets.
Review drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
Assist in quantity take-offs for aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, and accessories.
2. Documentation & Filing
Maintain project files (soft & hard copies).
Organize incoming enquiries, drawings, and tender documents.
Track enquiries, submissions, and follow-ups.
3. Supplier Coordination
Request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Follow up for pricing, lead times, and technical details.
Maintain updated records of supplier rates.
4. Communication & Internal Coordination
Coordinate with Design, Purchase, and Production departments.
Assist in preparing tender clarifications and RFIs.
Communicate with clients regarding basic submission requirements.
5. Reporting & Follow-Up
Prepare daily/weekly estimation status reports.
Track tender deadlines to ensure timely submission.
Follow up with team members and suppliers on pending items.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree (Engineering/Business preferred).
1-2 years of experience in the aluminium and glass industry (preferred).
AutoCAD knowledge is mandatory.
Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Additional Requirements
UAE Driving License is Mandatory
