Estimation Engineer – Mechanical (tendering)

Job Description
The Estimation Engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and technical proposals for mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems, as part of the tendering process. The role involves analyzing tender documents, specifications, and drawings, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring timely submission of competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities:
Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications for mechanical scope. Prepare cost estimates for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, drainage, etc.). Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and material take-offs. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and technical compliance. Analyze technical and commercial aspects of bids. Prepare tender documentation, including technical and commercial proposals. Support management during the negotiation and clarification stages. Ensure that all tenders are submitted on time and in compliance with client requirements. Maintain records of all estimation data and supplier/subcontractor databases. Assist project teams in cost control and variation analysis after award.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3-7 years of experience in tendering and estimation within MEP or construction industries. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems. Familiar with tendering procedures and contract conditions. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and estimation software. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR8,000.00 per month
