Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimation & Tendering Engineer with minimum of 5 years of experience in the UAE, specializing in cost estimation and tender preparation for diverse projects including general maintenance, landscaping, and swimming pool works. The ideal candidate will be a generalist who can accurately assess project requirements, prepare competitive bids, and support our business development efforts across all our service lines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Tender & Bid Management:

Thoroughly review and analyze tender documents, RFQs, specifications, drawings, and contractual terms for various projects.

Prepare comprehensive and competitive technical and commercial proposals/bids for maintenance, landscape, and swimming pool projects.

Ensure all submissions are compliant with tender requirements and deadlines.

Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand project scope and site conditions.

Manage the entire tendering process from inquiry to submission.

- Cost Estimation & Quantity Surveying:

Perform accurate quantity take-offs for all materials, labor, and equipment required for maintenance contracts, landscape works, and swimming pool construction/renovation/maintenance.

Source and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for various trades and materials.

Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including direct costs (materials, labor, equipment) and indirect costs (overheads, contingencies, profit margins).

Develop and maintain a robust database of unit rates, material costs, and labor productivity for future estimations.

- Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with Operations, Project Management, and Business Development. Liaise with clients and consultants. Present estimates to management and participate in negotiations.

- Risk Management:

Identify project risks and incorporate contingencies. Propose value engineering and cost-saving solutions.

- Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.

- 5 years of proven UAE experience in estimation.

- Valid UAE Driving License.

- English Fluency.

- Proficient in using MS Office Suite.
