Job Description

Job Summary:
The Estimation Engineer for Apartments is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for residential apartment projects, including high-rise, mid-rise, and low-rise developments. The role involves analyzing project specifications, conducting quantity take-offs, evaluating material and labor costs, and collaborating with project teams to ensure competitive and realistic bids.
Key Responsibilities: * Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for apartment construction projects, including structural, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and finishing works.
• Analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to perform quantity take-offs (BOQ - Bill of Quantities).
• Estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontracting costs using historical data and market rates.
• Develop preliminary and final cost reports for client submissions.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination:

• Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Negotiate pricing and ensure cost competitiveness while maintaining quality standards.
• Tender & Bid Management:

• Review tender documents, contracts, and project specifications.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids in collaboration with the business development team.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities in project estimates.
• Value Engineering & Cost Optimization:

• Suggest alternative materials and construction methods to reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Work with design and engineering teams to optimize project feasibility.
• Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain a database of material prices, labor rates, and project cost benchmarks.
• Prepare comparison sheets, cost breakdowns, and bid summaries.
• Assist in post-bid analysis and handover to the project execution team.
• Collaboration & Communication:

• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to clarify project requirements.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide cost-related recommendations.
