Job Purpose

Participate and support the development and implementation of Nawah Equipment Reliability (ER) processes and sub processes in accordance with industry best practices and Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) requirements to ensure that the Nawah is aligned with INPO AP-913 Equipment Reliability Process. Assist the development and implementation of the Maintenance Rule Program, Single Point of Vulnerability (SPV) program, PM support to the maintenance function, management of Master Equipment Data, and engineering performance indicators at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Assist in development, implementation and execution of Nawah\'s equipment reliability (ER) process, consistent with INPO AP-913 Equipment Reliability Process, FSAR requirements and Federal Association for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) expectations, to maintain high levels of safe and reliable plant operation in an efficient manner.Incorporate lessons learned from reference plant i.e.Shin Kori 3 and 4 and industry best practices.
  • Provide assistance and technical knowledge and support for the development of programs such as Functional Importance Determination (FID), Functional Equipment Group (FEG), Preventive Maintenance (PM) Templates, PM Basis, Single Point Vulnerabilities (SPV), System Health Monitoring, System Health Evaluation, Plant Health Committee (PHC), Plant Top Ten ER related issues, and Equipment Reliability Index (ERI).
  • Participate in the identification and management of the engineering fields of master data, programs and procedures required to implement ER process.
  • Provide technical support and collaboration with other ER departments, i.e., Operations, Maintenance and Work Management to ensure a well aligned approach to ER.
  • Update the database required to support ER software applications to enable ER analysis and performance tracking.
  • Participate in development and management of the ER Index (ERI) to measure the health of key plant programs and processes that must perform effectively to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Participate in development and implementation of Nawah\'s M&D center to ensure it provides a useful leading practice capability for centralized data gathering and analysis.

Preventative Maintenance Support
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Participate and assist in developing, implementing and executing the Maintenance Rule program to ensure it adheres to the applicable standards and guidelines and provides the desired benefits.Maintenance Rule program elements include:
\xc3\x82 Maintenance rule scoping.
\xc3\x82 Maintenance Rule Safety Significance Determination.
\xc3\x82 Maintenance Rule Establishment of Performance Criteria.
\xc3\x82 Maintenance Rule Performance Monitoring.
\xc3\x82 Periodic Assessment.
\xc3\x82 Maintenance Rule Expert Panel Meetings.
  • Provide technical support to the Maintenance function in developing the PM program such as:
\xc3\x82 Functional Importance Determination (FID).
\xc3\x82 Single Point Vulnerabilities (SPV).
\xc3\x82 SPV-Reliability Improvement Plans.
\xc3\x82 Functional Equipment Group (FEG).
\xc3\x82 Preventive Maintenance (PM) Templates.
\xc3\x82 PM Basis.
  • Assist developing and implementing the SPV program including development of elimination, mitigation, and bridging strategies, to identify, monitor, and protect against risks associated with SPVs.
  • Participate in developing engineering performance indicators as an input to station performance indicators.
  • Assist updating the equipment master database (creation/modification/deletion of equipment master information) to ensure database is accurate and relevant, including:
\xc3\x82 Review of documents prepared by the maintenance team or the system engineering team.
\xc3\x82 File equipment master in Operating Management System (OMS).
\xc3\x82 Monitor notification to the maintenance team of the results of equipment master changes.
\xc3\x82 Conduct periodic adequacy checks of station equipment master and issue of notification to improve operation for inadequate items.
\xc3\x82 Validate reflection of SPV equipment.
\xc3\x82 Review of station equipment master and changes in function location at periodic interval.

Staff Training and Qualification
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Participate in training to equip necessary technical knowledge and skills.
  • Provide training feedback on program effectiveness with evaluation of operator performance to enhance staff training and qualification program.

Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Support outage and/or the ERO, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.

  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma (or Equivalent) Degree in Engineering or related Science.
  • 2 years of relevant experience, out of which:
  • 1 year of Nuclear Power Plant engineering experience.

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
