Job Description

Main Objectives Carries out scheduled maintenance and servicing work, as well as unscheduled repair and maintenance work on ground support equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles at the workshop. Obtains required spare parts, disassembles engines, repairs and overhauls components and assemblies, test and reassembles. Main Duties o Receives verbal instruction or typewritten equipment maintenance scheduled maintenance or servicing of aircraft ground support equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles, obtains and signs for necessary parts and effects required maintenance and servicing to established standards. o Tests equipment and vehicles after servicing for efficient engine, gearbox, steering, brakes and instrument operation. o Receives job card for unscheduled maintenance or repair work, diagnoses faults related to the equipment or vehicle, obtains and signs for required parts, and achieves repair work or maintenance. Includes disassembling engines, removing components, repairing, overhauling minor and major assemblies in the workshop, testing to required specifications and reassembling. o Effects on-side fault diagnosis and repairs to malfunctioning equipment and vehicle. o Maintains safekeeping of tool kit allocated to him and obtains replacements for worn out or damaged tools. o When on afternoon of night shift, completed work from the morning shift and stands by for emergency repairs at Ramp Engineering. o Participates in the training of lower graded mechanics and apprentices. o Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned. o Comply with the Company and Airport authorities' health, safety, and security regulations. Minimum Requirements Education: Completion of (12 years) technical education, plus 3 years training Mechanicals Trades. Experience: 4 years' experience in maintenance and repairing work on mechanical assemblies and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Other Essential Requirements: o Fair knowledge of written and spoken English. o Light driving license. Job Type: Contract
