Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation:

Preparing surfaces for application by cleaning, patching, or sanding/grinding as needed to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth finish.

Material Mixing and Application:

Accurately mixing microcement and pigments according to specifications, and applying the material using trowels or other appropriate tools.

Finishing:

Achieving a smooth, even finish with consistent color distribution, often involving techniques like troweling, sanding, and sealing.

Quality Control:

Ensuring high standards of workmanship and attention to detail throughout the application process.

Maintenance:

Maintaining and operating equipment necessary for microcement application, as well as ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Collaboration:

Working with project managers, team members, and potentially clients to meet project goals and deadlines.

Adherence to Safety Guidelines:

Following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment on all job sites.
Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills:

Experience in applying decorative plaster finishes and microcement coatings, with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and material properties.

Artistic Flair:

Ability to create aesthetically pleasing finishes with an eye for detail and design.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working in various positions.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the application process.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.

Experience in Construction/Renovation:

While not always mandatory, experience in related fields like tiling, plastering, or painting can be beneficial.
