Position : Environmental Manager
Location : Site Base
Roles and Responsibility :
Oversee and monitor the implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) developed by an approved third-party consultant, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory standards and project-specific requirements.
Oversee site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, waste management procedures, and pollution control measures.
Liaise with Client environmental representatives, government agencies (e.g., MoECC), and consultants during audits and inspections
Ensure proper documentation of environmental permits, site monitoring results, and non-compliance reports.
Monitor and report on air quality, noise levels, soil contamination, and water discharge, ensuring results remain within approved limits.
Train site staff and subcontractors on environmental best practices, spill response, and sustainable construction methods.
Prepare environmental reports, logs, and compliance summaries for internal and external review.
Review and approve method statements, particularly those involving environmentally sensitive works (e.g., excavation, dewatering).
Lead the investigation and root cause analysis of environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
