Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing sustainable waste management solutions, as well as expertise in environmental infrastructure development to meet the growing demands of urbanization and industrial growth across the region. You will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and management of innovative waste management projects that contribute to sustainability and the reduction of environmental impacts in the region.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and implementation of sustainable solutions and EMPs to reduce environmental impacts of waste management projects like incineration plant, material recovery facility, engineered landfill, waste treatment and recycling etc. Prepare technical proposals for bidding and suo-moto projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards. Develop material balance, water balance and process flow charts for plant and processes. Collect and analyse environmental data, assist in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) accounting and reporting, estimate environmental benefits and prepare cases studies of ongoing projects for annual integrated reports and for proposed project for bid preparation. Support on planning and implementing Expended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program and Carbon Credit certification etc. Contribute to the development of sustainability strategies and environmental performance goals of business. Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external agencies to address environmental challenges and technical solutions. Provide guidance on environmental best practices and regulatory requirements. Contribute to sustainability programs and initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Masters/Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field. 2-3 years of relevant experience. (Experience in waste management and decarbonization would be an advantage). Knowledge of international best practices, regulations, compliance requirements and sustainability guidelines. Certifications (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001) or willingness to pursue them is a plus. Strong communication skills, capable of working in a multi-cultural environment. Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and within a team.
