ENT Specialist (Otorhinolaryngologist)

to join our multidisciplinary team.

Job Summary

The ENT Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck for patients of all ages. This role requires exceptional diagnostic skills, proficiency in a wide range of procedures, and a commitment to excellent patient care in an outpatient clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnosis and Treatment:

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad spectrum of ENT conditions, including but not limited to:

Ear:

Otitis media/externa, hearing loss (conductive/sensorineural), tinnitus, vertigo/dizziness, and foreign body removal.

Nose/Sinus:

Allergic rhinitis, acute/chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, deviated nasal septum, and epistaxis management.

Throat/Neck:

Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, voice and swallowing disorders, and assessment of head and neck swellings.

Procedures:

Perform in-clinic diagnostic and minor therapeutic procedures, such as: Microscopic ear examination and procedures. Flexible and rigid endoscopy for nasal, sinus, and laryngeal examinations. Audiometric testing interpretation (e.g., Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry).

Patient Care:

Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide pre- and post-operative care consultation for cases requiring external surgical referral.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records in compliance with clinic standards and Qatari health regulations.

Collaboration:

Collaborate effectively with General Practitioners and other specialists within the medical center to ensure holistic patient management.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Current Location and Visa Status:

Applicants MUST be currently residing in Qatar

with a valid Qatari ID and hold a

Transferable Residency Permit (RP)/NOC (No Objection Certificate)

.

Education:

Medical Degree (MBBS/MD/DO) followed by successful completion of a recognized specialty training/residency program in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT).

Licensure:

Must hold a valid primary license to practice as an ENT Specialist, and be either

eligible or currently licensed

by the

Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP)

. Note: Successful completion of the QCHP licensing requirements, including the

Prometric Exam and

Dataflow Verification, is typically mandatory.*

Experience:

Minimum of

3-5 years

of post-specialization experience in a clinical setting (polyclinic or hospital), with a strong preference for experience in a private healthcare environment.

Clinical Skills:

Proven ability to manage both adult and pediatric ENT cases.

Language:

Fluent in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a distinct advantage.
