The purpose of the role of English Teacher is to take shared responsibility for the planning, delivery and assessment of English language and literature across the curriculum, ensuring that students are consistently challenged and supported to achieve their highest academic potential. The English Teacher plays a key role in promoting a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking, while fostering high standards of literacy, articulacy, and written communication.
They are expected to model and promote exceptional use of language, set aspirational goals for students, and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies that inspire and motivate learners. The English Teacher must be a suitably qualified and passionate educator with a demonstrated ability to lead and deliver high-quality English instruction that promotes deep learning and independent thought.
In addition to classroom teaching, the role requires collaboration with colleagues to develop a coherent and enriching English curriculum, as well as contributing to wider school life through student mentoring and extracurricular initiatives such as debating clubs, writing competitions or drama productions. The successful candidate will be empathetic, proactive, and possess a strong classroom presence, with the ability to positively influence both student outcomes and the broader learning environment.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in teaching from an accredited institution
Required teaching certification for Qatar MOEHE
