We are now hiring an experienced English Teacher & Academic Coordinator to join our growing team. Position Overview This is a dual-role opportunity ideal for an experienced upper primary English teacher with strong organizational and leadership skills. You will:
Teach English to students in Years 2-6 (with a primary focus on Years 4-6), and optionally Years 7-8 depending on your experience
Provide academic oversight across the micro-school, ensuring personalized learning plans, progress monitoring, and coordination with the teaching team
Collaborate closely with other subject teachers and school leadership to maintain consistency, excellence, and alignment with student outcomes
Key Responsibilities Teaching
Deliver engaging, high-quality English instruction aligned with UK curriculum standards
Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs in a small-group setting
Incorporate writing, reading comprehension, grammar, and oral expression in a creative, inquiry-based approach
Use technology and cross-curricular themes to enhance student engagement and real-world learning
Academic Oversight
Monitor and support the implementation of individual learning plans
Coordinate with teachers to ensure schedule alignment, pacing, and instructional consistency
Lead student progress monitoring and support reporting for families
Serve as the point person for academic support needs across the micro-school
Contribute to teacher collaboration and academic planning sessions
Candidate Profile
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, primarily in upper primary (some exposure to lower secondary preferred)
UK curriculum experience (e.g., Cambridge, National Curriculum, IGCSE) is essential
Skilled in differentiated instruction and student-centered learning
Experience working with high-expectation families and diverse learners
Organized, adaptable, and passionate about high-impact education in small school settings
Compensation & Benefits
AED 20,000 - 22,000 per month (tax-free), based on experience and qualifications
