Job Description

Key Responsibilities for English Lecture



1. Teaching & Student Engagement



Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate interactive classroom sessions in English language, literature, linguistics, or related areas, in alignment with institutional academic standards. Design and implement effective lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and evaluations. Integrate contemporary teaching methods, digital tools, and real-world language applications to enhance student engagement. Foster a learning environment that promotes critical thinking, communication skills, creativity, and active participation.

2. Student Mentorship & Academic Support



Provide academic mentoring and guidance to students, including support for coursework, projects, presentations, and career pathways. Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback. Address academic concerns and support students in overcoming learning challenges.

3. Curriculum Development & Academic Alignment



Contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of English curriculum in line with global academic standards and accreditation requirements. Incorporate current research, literary trends, language pedagogy advancements, and interdisciplinary perspectives into teaching. Collaborate with faculty members and academic coordinators to strengthen program delivery and learning outcomes.

4. Research & Scholarly Contribution



Conduct research and publish in recognized peer-reviewed journals relevant to English studies. Supervise and support student research projects and academic initiatives. Participate actively in academic conferences, seminars, workshops, and scholarly collaborations.

5. Academic Administration & Governance



Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional initiatives. Maintain accurate academic records including attendance, grading, course files, and assessment documentation. Support quality assurance processes, accreditation activities, and compliance with institutional academic policies.

Qualifications & Skills Required



Educational Requirements



Minimum:

Master's degree in English, English Language, Literature, Linguistics, or a related discipline.

Preferred:

Ph.D. in English or a closely related field.

Experience & Expertise



Minimum

3-5 years of teaching experience

at the tertiary (higher education) level. Experience teaching English language skills, literature, academic writing, or communication courses. Prior involvement in curriculum development and academic quality processes is an advantage.

Technical & Soft Skills



Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong classroom management, presentation, and student engagement abilities. Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), educational technologies, and productivity tools. Strong commitment to research, continuous professional development, and student success. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a diverse academic environment.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Ras al-Khaimah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
