Role Overview

Career Launcher UAE is looking for an

experienced and result-oriented Part-Time English Teacher

with strong exposure to

GCSE and IGCSE English

across

First Language and Second Language

streams. The ideal candidate should be well-versed with

Cambridge (CIE), Edexcel, and AQA syllabi

, and capable of delivering

exam-focused, skill-based English instruction

to international school students in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

Teach

GCSE & IGCSE English

: English First Language English Second Language Handle students across

Cambridge (CIE), Edexcel, and AQA

curricula Train students in: Reading comprehension & analysis Writing (descriptive, narrative, argumentative, summary) Grammar, vocabulary, and language accuracy Speaking & listening (where applicable) Prepare students for

exam components, marking schemes, and assessment objectives

Conduct

past-paper practice

, examiner-style feedback, and timed tests Design and deliver: Notes and structured writing frameworks Practice worksheets and mock exams Revision plans and crash courses Track student progress and share

academic feedback with parents

Conduct

doubt-clearing sessions and revision workshops

Support

demo sessions and academic counselling when required

Required Qualifications

BA / MA in English / Linguistics / Education

(CELTA/TEFL preferred) Minimum 3

-6 years

of teaching experience in: GCSE & IGCSE English First Language & Second Language streams Hands-on experience with

CIE, Edexcel, and AQA exam patterns

Strong understanding of

mark schemes, grade descriptors, and examiner expectations

Preferred Skills & Competencies

Proven

track record of student grade improvement

Ability to train

ESL and EAL learners

effectively Strong command over

academic writing and exam techniques

Excellent communication and classroom engagement skills Comfortable with

online teaching tools

(Zoom, digital boards, Google Classroom) Professional, punctual, and disciplined approach Familiarity with

international school environment in the UAE
