Engineering Technician - Marriott International - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Marriott International is hiring an Engineering Technician for its Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel and Suites in Dubai Marina. This role supports hotel operations by ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained to high safety, quality, and comfort standards expected of a global hospitality brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance and repair requests
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical systems
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines to ensure safe operation
• Carry and use maintenance tools, radios, and related equipment
• Identify and operate utility and equipment shut-off valves
• Maintain maintenance inventory and request parts and supplies when required
• Communicate daily work activities and issues to incoming shifts
• Perform basic repairs related to air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
• Conduct surface preparation, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, and painting tasks
• Replace light bulbs, air conditioning filters, switches, outlets, and guestroom fixtures
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues
• Program televisions and support engineering-related inventory tasks
• Use lockout and tagout procedures before performing maintenance work
• Support interior and exterior landscaping maintenance, including sprinkler systems
• Use basic computer systems for temperature control and equipment scheduling

Ideal Profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
• Some experience in general building maintenance or repair work
• Previous hotel engineering or maintenance experience is an advantage
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically able to lift, move, and carry maintenance equipment as required
