Participates in the design, fabrication and testing of prototype chemical process equipment. May have a focus on process or electro-mechanical systems design. Works closely with engineers on equipment installation and construction. Maintains and calibrates equipment and tools.

Identifies, recommends and assists in the execution of improvements to the equipment, procedures, and test methods and data analysis.
Participates in the design and builds and assembles prototype chemical process equipment and sub-assemblies, including plumbing and electrical components.
Installs and de-installs equipment involving various manufacturing equipment and electrical expansions. Uses drawings and sketches.
Assists engineers in developing, improving and testing system automation and electrical processes, chemical plant processes and equipment.
Repairs and maintains prototype chemical processing equipment. Calibrates and tests testing equipment. Maintains preventive maintenance schedule.
Documents technical specifications and updates manuals.
Works on special projects as assigned.
Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care\xc2\xae Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001\xc2\xae technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
