Job Description

An Engineering Project Manager (EPM) oversees the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

EPMs act as a bridge between the engineering team and stakeholders, translating technical requirements into actionable plans and ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

Developing detailed project plans, defining scope, timelines, and budgets, and managing resources effectively.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

Leading and motivating project teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring efficient task allocation.

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

Facilitating clear and consistent communication among stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress and addressing concerns.

Risk Management:

Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

Budget and Cost Management:

Monitoring project costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring projects stay within allocated budgets.

Quality Control:

Ensuring that engineering deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.

Change Management:

Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes.

Reporting and Documentation:

Providing regular project updates, creating progress reports, and maintaining project documentation.
Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

A strong understanding of engineering principles and practices relevant to the project.

Project Management Skills:

P roficiency in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and communication.

Leadership and Teamwork :

Ability to lead and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and manage conflict.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to identify and solve complex problems, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing project requirements.
