Engineering Manager - Water Transmission Systems (WTS)

• Leads and coordinates the international and interdisciplinary project engineering team in performing design/reviewing WTS projects at all project phases and supporting /advising the Project Manager and Client in all related engineering aspects.
• Reviews the design requirements of a project and assures according implementation in design.
• Accountable for the timely preparation and quality control or review of engineering documents and drawings.
• Manage the interface between Client design team and ILF engineering team.
• Ensures the completion of scope within budgeted hours.
• Identifies and lodge scope/design changes for approval.
• Also supports in proposal preparation, in particular leads the preparation of project execution strategy, organization chart, engineering deliverable list, execution schedule and man hour estimates.

Application Requirements:
Required skills and competencies:

• Recognized expert in WTS design with experience in designing water transmission system projects, preferably within a design /engineering or consultancy company.
• Strong design and analytical skill, in particular good experience in hydraulic optimization calculations and operational understanding of a WTS.
• Construction site and preferable commissioning experience from advantage.
• Shall be aware of UAE design regulations e.g., TRANSCO, Etihad Water (formerly FEWA), but also ADDC, SWS (formerly ADSSC), ADM requirements.
• Hands on skills, problem solver and solution provider.
• Professional leader willing to support growth of the department.
• Midterm option to take over the Department Manager role.

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in designing large (up to 2.4 m diameter) water transmission systems, pump stations and reservoirs / tanks (WTS).
• Minimum 7 years\' experience in preparation of feasibility and optimization studies, tender design and detail design for WTS, also water networks, as a lead /senior engineer.

Education:

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent degree in civil engineering, process engineering or mechanical engineering.
