Job description Responsibilities

• Read and understand contract documents such as contract conditions, BOQ, specs, drawings and related reports.
• Design basic concept for shop drawings, shop drawings, setting out drawings, MTO, and fabrication drawings.
• Distribute work in team & follow up for drawing completion/submission.
• Ensure structural checks are completed for all necessary components before preparing shop drawings.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors involved in the construction process.
• Prepare shop drawings for projects in accordance with architectural drawings, contracts and specifications, BS, EN, and ASTM standards, concept drawings, and a bill of quantities.
• Ensure that designs adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards, including fire safety and accessibility requirements.

\xc2\xb7 Review, check, and approve shop drawings prepared by the design team. \xc2\xb7 Ensure timely approval of drawings, calculations, and material samples as specified in the project schedule. \xc2\xb7 Collaborate with projects manager and contractors to ensure the seamless integration of facade design into the overall construction process. \xc2\xb7 Conduct seminars and training sessions for personnel on systems and other product requirements. \xc2\xb7 Participate in specified performance testing activities. \xc2\xb7 Review and approve the Material Take-Off (MTO) and Construction Log (CL). \xc2\xb7 Oversee the quality of facade installations and work with contractors to address any issues or discrepancies. \xc2\xb7 Identify additional work or variations in coordination with project directors, project managers, quantity surveyors, and design and engineering managers. \xc2\xb7 Ensure all departmental work is completed within the specified timeframes and in line with company standards. \xc2\xb7 Take corrective actions to resolve design, procurement, fabrication, or on-site issues. \xc2\xb7 Arranging and reviewing the required projects closeout deliverables. Qualifications and Skills: \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field. \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 10 years of experience in facade design, including both residential and commercial projects. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant design tools. \xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. \xc2\xb7 Strong project management and leadership skills. \xc2\xb7 Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green facade technologies is a plus. \xc2\xb7 With a valid UAE driving license.
