Engineering Manager - Requirements & Configurations Grade: GG12 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Manage overall Systems Engineering Management activities (Requirements, Change, and Configuration) for KSA SALAM Programme (Typhoon) on behalf Head of Engineering - Integration. Those activities are mainly to provide assurance that SALAM projects are meeting the overall requirements and that they comply with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia (BAESSA) Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) Functional Governance Manual (FGM) policies and mandates. Responsible to manage the overall Systems Engineering Management activities (Requirements, Change, and Configuration) for KSA SALAM Programme (Typhoon) to provide assurance that SALAM projects are meeting overall requirements that comply with BAEESA E&M FGM policies and mandates. Responsible for efficient management of the implementation audit and assurance of the Requirements Management system within SALAM Projects. Responsible for facilitate the Engineering (Requirements, Change, and Configuration) Toolsets Capability Development and continuous improvement of processes. Responsible for the development of a common Requirements Management approach across Salam projects. Responsible for efficient management of the implementation audit and assurance of Configuration Management system within SALAM Projects. Responsible for efficient management of the implementation audit and assurance of Change Management Governance system within SALAM Projects. Responsible for represent the SALAM Programme on all matters relating to Configuration and Change Management with all stakeholders (customers, partners and suppliers through management of key interfaces). Responsible for implement a Configuration and Change Management process that provides total visibility for the management of the products through the lifecycle. Responsible for determine Project/Programme Change Management strategic business objectives and critical success factors to provide a basis for effective planning / management. Responsible for ensure that all SALAM Change Management documentation generated internally complies with Company and national security mandates before it is released onto any external organisation or individual. Responsible for ensure that all risks and opportunities relating to Change Management are effectively managed and actioned. Author and update the SALAM Programme Requirements Management Plan (RMP) / Processes documents. Support the projects in the development of a compliant and effective tailored RM approach as per the Salam Programme RMP. Perform Systems Engineering Subject matter Expert (SME) role in (Requirements, Change, and Configuration) domain to help SALAM projects engineers' development via providing a guideline documentation / On Job Training (OJT) of IBM DOORS usage or using alternative toolset. Manage the integration the Requirements Baseline(s) of the SALAM Programme via enabling the identification and management of cross-contract dependencies in alignment with the Change Management Process. Develop, Review and maintain SALAM RMP / CMP on annual basis to ensure on-going compliance with BAESSA Policies of Requirements Management / Configuration Management. Organise and manage SALAM Programme Configuration Control Board (PCCB) in accordance with the KSA SALAM Programme CMP. Conduct reviews of supplier plans and procedures to provide assurance that suppliers in line with SALAM CMP undertake their Configuration Management planning. Continuous improvement the (Requirements, Change, and Configuration) Management processes. Execute & manage of Change Management activities of the SALAM programme including the configure KSA Typhoon Change Register. Manage and maintain the Configuration Baseline of the Salam Programme in line with the SALAM CMP. Develop, manage and execute a regular review with SALAM Projects for (Requirements, Change, and Configuration) and feed the governance status dashboard into Typhoon Engineering Management Review (TEMR). RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION The role is key in leading overall Systems Engineering Management activities (Requirements, Change, and Configuration) for KSA SALAM Programme (Typhoon) activities to ensure that the Salam program solutions meet Customer and new legislative/regulatory requirements in a timely manner. Failure to achieve this has a specific and direct impact on the Company's ability to deliver the business. The role has a major operational impact on the delivery of projects and services for multi projects. The role is key in assuring that the delivered Salam solutions complying with Company Governance Requirements. Experience in aerospace and defense company/industry knowledge, leading significant and diverse engineering projects, with an understanding of the business lifecycle. Experience of working on RSAF Contracts. Experience in application of the BAE SYSTEMS Operational Framework. Experience and knowledge of the Engineering Life Cycle process, ideally be recognized BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Design Review Assessor. Familiar with the work environment in KSA Prime Contracting, and supporting Systems activities through the complete lifecycle including disposal. years' experience working in multi-national project environments ideally including a period working abroad. Experience of the development and application of engineering process, organizational design, functional governance, assurance and its successful deployment. Fast jet engineering background, in either design, Support, or maintenance. Experience in application of the Life Engineering Lifecycle Management. Understanding of application of the Project Management, Systems Engineering Management, Quality Management, Safety Management, Managing Sub-contractors, procurement, supplier selection.
