Petroplan are currently assisting an Oil & Gas service provider in Dubai who are looking to strategically hire an Engineering Manager who has experience working with/for Drilling Contractors as part of their growth plans.
Responsibilities: *Responsible for overseeing a team of Engineers in the completion of engineering projects. The duties include hiring and training qualified engineering staff, setting project budgets and timelines for completion and helping the staff for delivery and the close out of projects.*Experienced in Engineering for Project Management, Shipyard Projects, Naval Architecture, and Marine Engineering. This includes Land Rigs, Jack-Ups, Semi-Submersibles, Drill-Ships, Renewable Energy Products and FPSO's. *Strive for continuous improvement. They should raise ideas for improving the efficiency of their teams, looking at things holistically and identifying constraints.*Generate a weekly report in the prescribed format by COB Friday to be shared with OFS Ops Team.*Focus is to include some Business Development for maximizing perceived value and revenue.*Has the need to be able to effectively lead others through meeting, planning and any processes which are needed to accomplish the goals set for the team. *Possess the ability to manage third parties during shipyard work projects.*Provide Technical Support for mooring installations and for mooring systems.
QUALIFICATIONS: *Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience *Experience working with and for drilling contractors*Minimum of 15 years oil and gas service industry or drilling contractor experience*Minimum of 5 years' prior industry-related business development experience*Strong communication and interpersonal skills*Strong technical knowledge of project management, maintenance and engineering jobs and activities related to mobile offshore drilling units (i.e. jack-ups, drill ships, semi-submersibles)*Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies*Proposal and contract preparation experience*Focused and goal-oriented*Proactive, eager, and hungry to make an impact
