Job Description

The Role

Lead and manage the engineering team involved in construction projects. o Oversee the planning, design, and execution of construction engineering activities. o Review and approve technical drawings, plans, and specifications. o Ensure all engineering deliverables align with project timelines, budget, and quality standards. o Coordinate between architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve design or technical issues. o Supervise construction methods and practices to ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. o Provide technical support to project managers, site engineers, and construction teams. o Evaluate and implement innovative engineering solutions and construction technologies. o Prepare progress reports, engineering documentation, and ensure timely submission of deliverables. o Ensure all activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies. o Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies during the construction phase. o Participate in project budgeting and resource planning from an engineering perspective.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field. o Master's degree or PMP certification is an advantage. o Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. o Strong knowledge of construction methods, design standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements. o Proficient in engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, etc.) and project management tools (Primavera, MS Project). o Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. o Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure. o Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. o Professional Engineering License (PE) or equivalent certification preferred.
