Engineering Manager (ADNOC Approved)
Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager provides overall technical leadership and direction for all engineering disciplines on the project (Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, etc.). This role is responsible for ensuring that engineering design is safe, cost-effective, compliant with ADNOC and international standards, and delivered on schedule to support procurement and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and coordinate all engineering activities, ensuring integration and consistency across all disciplines.
  • Design Integrity: Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project specifications, ADNOC's technical standards, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., API, ASME, IEC).
  • Review & Approval: Oversee and approve key engineering documents, including FEED packages, Plot Plans, P&IDs, Hazardous Area Classifications, and Material Selection Diagrams.
  • Value Engineering: Promote cost-saving initiatives and value engineering without compromising safety or quality.
  • Interface Management: Manage technical interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction, and the client (ADNOC). Resolve complex technical issues that arise during project execution.
  • HSE by Design: Champion HSE in design, ensuring that all aspects of Process Safety (HAZOP, SIL, etc.) and constructability are thoroughly addressed.
  • Team Management: Manage a large, multi-disciplinary engineering team, including direct reports and subcontractor engineering resources.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary technical authority for the project when interfacing with ADNOC's engineering and technical teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field). Chartered Engineer status or PE license is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 18-20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 8 years in a senior engineering management role on mega-projects.
  • Must be ADNOC Approved as an Engineering Manager, with a deep understanding of ADNOC's technical requirements and submission processes.
  • Extensive experience in both onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities design.
  • Proven track record in managing engineering for EPC projects from conception to completion.
