About Us:

Focus Media Middle East

is seeking an experienced

Engineering Manager

to oversee and manage our media installation projects, ensuring seamless execution from planning to completion. This role involves negotiating with property management, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring all engineering and renovation aspects meet company standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home decoration, commercial renovation, or related fields, with proven experience in project management and stakeholder negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage engineering projects related to media installations, including digital displays, signage, and other advertising mediums. Negotiate and liaise with property management teams, landlords, and contractors to secure approvals, permits, and optimal installation conditions. Oversee site assessments, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations for new and existing projects. Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and building codes. Collaborate with internal teams (design, operations, sales) to align project execution with business objectives. Manage budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently to deliver projects on schedule and within scope. Resolve technical and logistical challenges related to installations, renovations, or structural modifications. Supervise and mentor engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to maintain high-quality standards. Provide post-installation support, including maintenance planning and troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.5+ years of UAE experience in project management, commercial renovation, home decoration, or construction, preferably in advertising/media installations.

Minimum 5-7 years

in

project management, commercial renovations, or media/advertising installations

(UAE/GCC experience

highly preferred

). Proven track record in

negotiating with UAE property developers, landlords, and municipalities

(e.g., Nakheel, Emaar, Aldar, DM, DDA, Trakhees).

UAE-approved engineering certifications

(e.g.,

DM/ADM/Trakhees-approved

for Dubai/Abu Dhabi/Free Zones)

Strong negotiation & stakeholder management

(experience with

RERA, DLD, or other UAE real estate authorities

is a plus).

UAE-Specific Legal & Compliance Knowledge

Fluent in English

(Arabic is a strong advantage for government/legal documentation). Knowledge of

DCD (Dubai Civil Defense) fire safety regulations

for media installations. Strong negotiation skills with experience dealing with property management, landlords, and regulatory authorities. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes in the Middle East. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
