G42 Healthcare is committed to developing a world-class, sustainable healthcare sector in the UAE and wider

region. At the forefront in the battle against the pandemic, G42 Healthcare partnered with Abu Dhabi

authorities to develop a massive throughput laboratory in 14 days and spearheaded the world’s first Phase 3

clinical trial of COVID-19 inactivated vaccine. Beyond Covid-19, G42 Healthcare is also developing a program

of activities to support the health of future generations – ranging from genomics, imaging and diagnostics to

digitization programs, manufacturing and cutting-edge research. Responsibilities:

Lead a team of software engineers in implementing high quality services including design, development, and deployment of new business functionality
Allocate available resources to meet operating objectives. Interact with direct reports, customers and peers to share information and improve cross-departmental processes
Assist your team in developing roadmaps for system and product growth, then identify, plan, and execute projects to support that growth.
Participate in code review and technical whiteboard discussions. Support trading off technical debt versus the pace of progress.
Collaborate closely with leads, Ems & TPMs working on different components across the organization.
Working in a collaborative environment as either a Lead/Senior Developer, Technical Project Manager or Solutions Architect.
Collaborate, coach, and mentor colleagues in an energetic, growing team
Complete end-to-end ownership from requirements to go-live
Bracing ambiguity and prioritizing right items
Managing stakeholders and driving business goals
Driving architectural decisions
Willing to take challenges and step out of comfort zone

Qualifications:

Passion to build and advocate healthcare products using Data & AI
Strong software engineering skills with strong competencies in design & architecture.
Experience in Spring Boot, Microservices, and RDBMS.
Deep understanding of how to build scalable distributed systems.
Hands-on architect, on low & high level design
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship or work experience.
Several years of serving in either an engineering management role or a senior engineering team lead role.
Experience solving large-scale engineering challenges.
Openness to new / different ideas. Ability to evaluate multiple approaches and choose the best on based on first principles.
Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity, with only high-level direction.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Front end web application frameworks such as HTML, CSS, Reactjs, Vue,
MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ELS, NGINX and Apache are highly desirable.
Exposure to data platforms and analytics
Container Technologies: Kubernetes, Docker and Docker compose
Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
Server Technologies: event-pipeline, pub/sub, data streaming, distributed caching, computing and storage, ESB, ELK
