Job Objective
To design, implement, and maintain Satellite News Gathering (SNG) and microwave transmission systems. This role oversees the technical aspects of SNG and microwave equipment to ensure high-quality, reliable signal transmission for live broadcasts and remote events. The engineer also manages troubleshooting, system upgrades, and compliance with industry standards, ensuring compliance with the internal policies, procedures, and standards of the company as well as Guidelines related to laws and regulations in the UAE.

Job Objective

Main Responsibilities
Operational Tasks
- Design and develop SNG systems, including satellite uplink and downlink equipment, satellite dishes, and associated infrastructure.
- Supervise the installation and configuration of SNG systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Plan and implement microwave transmission systems, including microwave antennas, modems, and signal processing equipment.
- Manage the setup and integration of microwave systems into existing broadcast infrastructure.
- Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of SNG and microwave equipment to ensure continuous, reliable operation.
- Analyze system performance and adjust optimize signal quality, transmission speed, and equipment efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to SNG and microwave systems, including signal interference, equipment malfunctions, and connectivity problems.
- Provide rapid response and solutions during live broadcasts and remote events to address any technical disruptions or failures.
- Monitor live feeds and signal transmissions to ensure high-quality and uninterrupted broadcast performance.
- Implement quality assurance procedures to maintain the integrity and reliability of SNG and microwave transmissions.
- Work closely with broadcast engineers, technicians, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of SNG and microwave systems.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in SNG and microwave technology
- 5 - 8 Years of experience Satellite New Gathering (SNG) / Microwave Transmission Systems.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal.
- Degree Bachelor's degree from an academic institution recognized in the United Arab Emirates
