About the Role As an Engineer - QA/QC your role will be to manage, analyse and report on the project, a major residential development in Abu Dhabi.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below: Monitor and advise on all construction activities ensuring their compliance to the contract and ensuring governance of all commercial obligations Review monthly reports and advise on progress improvements Work with Project Principal, Resident Engineers and wider construction team, to advise and recommend more cost-effective methods of delivery where appropriate Evaluate the cost implications of changes to the contract, identified as necessary to implement Supervise all aspects of the project: monitoring contract compliance, terms and conditions, supervising/reviewing performance of service level agreements, managing receipt and documentation of change requests and coordinate the review process by appropriate programme stakeholders, delivery of contract deliverables, payment procedures and management reporting Contribute to risk management process and review meetings
Candidate Specification
Bachelors' Degree in Civil Engineering Experience in large residential developments and other building projects is advantageous Experience in quality control and quality assurance within the building structures Apply particular emphasis on quality assurance specifications and statistical quality Should be able to review and justify material submissions, analyse laboratory and technical reports, carrying out acceptance sampling plans, testing and quality measures, ensuring the compliance with the project's specifications. Prior experience of working on roads and bridges projects as a QA/QC Engineer is highly preferred. Develop and maintain the Quality Management System, Quality Management Plan in line with legislation, certification, contract requirements and company governance. Able to monitor and track audit contract compliance Demonstrable experience of understanding project programmes, costs and resources ensuring delivery to time and budget Be able to understand approval process for construction materials and method statements Understanding of progress tracking tools Be able to proactively decide on the best practices to monitor progress effectively and accurately
