Position Overview
AECOM Middle East is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Engineer - Planning to join its Transportation and Infrastructure team in Dubai. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and managing large-scale urban infrastructure projects that support Dubai's sustainable development goals. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed infrastructure master plans for roads, utilities, and public facilities.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed urban development projects.
• Create, monitor, and adjust project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Collaborate with architects, transport planners, environmental experts, and government entities to align project objectives.
• Prepare and review design documents, technical specifications, and planning reports.
• Ensure all projects meet UAE authority regulations and sustainability standards.
• Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
• Apply GIS and CAD tools to analyze data and support informed planning decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team capacity development through knowledge sharing.
• Present project updates, technical findings, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure planning and engineering, preferably within the UAE.
• Certification such as PE or PMP is an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, and project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of local codes, environmental standards, and sustainable development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams in large-scale urban projects.
