JOB TITLE: Welding Engineer (Site)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
xc2xb7 Relevant discipline specific duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
xc2xb7 Develop, Review and approve site ITPs, QCPs, WPS and ITRs based on corporate standard.
xc2xb7 Coordinate with the customers representative on all quality Welding related matters.
xc2xb7 Coordinate failure analysis and root cause analysis on welding related issues.
xc2xb7 Plan, conduct, track and report welding engineering investigations.
xc2xb7 Monitoring Welding Procedure and Welder Qualifications.
xc2xb7 Verify that the Welding related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
xc2xb7 Monitor and control of sub-contractor Welding repair rate.
xc2xb7 Participate in the internal and external site audits.
xc2xb7 Coordinate all the Welding related inspections through the site Welding inspectors.
xc2xb7 Control all non-conformance reports related to welding and undertake remedial action.
xc2xb7 Review the customers specification and undertake relevant training to the site Welding inspectors.
xc2xb7 Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
xc2xb7 Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals related to Welding to the customer.
xc2xb7 Arrange tool box talks/training in coordination with subcontractors.
xc2xb7 Assure all technical welding documents relative to site quality control are current status.
xc2xb7 Supervise Sub-contractor Welding Engineers.
xc2xb7 Prepare daily surveillance reports, attend quality walkthroughs and report issues which need to circulated as a quality alert.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
xc2xb7 Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering or equivalent.
xc2xb7 CSWP 3.2.2 or AWS SCWI certification.
xc2xb7 International Welding Engineer (IWE) - Preferable
xc2xb7 ASNT/PCN NDE Certifications
xc2xb7 Minimum 10 years experience as Welding Engineer.
xc2xb7 Should have experience in oil & gas/petrochemical industry.
xc2xb7 Should have previously worked with major EPC contractor.
