JOB TITLE \xe2\x80\x93 ENGINEER l - ELECTRICAL
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate as part of a team of engineers and designers for carrying out detailed engineering works and developing/automating engineering reports, engineering workflows and routine engineering procedures and calculations. Candidate must be proficient in computer skills and computer programming including PowerBI. Microsoft Azure and .net framework and should have worked in companies offering similar engineering workflow automation solutions.
Understand engineering workflows, engineering calculations, routine engineering tasks and identify opportunities for developing computer-based solutions to automate the engineering tasks.
Participate in workshops to develop User Requirements for software development including coordination between various engineering functions where software development spans multiple disciplines. Workshops shall include development of requirements, development plans, testing requirements and development platforms.
Preparation of reports in PowerBI for Projects and Proposals in progress, workforce management and status monitoring.
Development of new reports or new features in existing reports for Projects and Proposals in progress, workforce management and status monitoring.
Maintenance of departmental databases, organizing information for easy processing and retrieval of information, preparation of user interface for easy retrieval of information, analyzing of database for datamining and preparation of templates for data collection.
Working with current automation solution providers for integration of solutions into new development or for maintenance of current portfolios.
Support administrations of SPEL (SmartPlant Electrical) and AVEVA Electrical, where required for troubleshooting, customization or setup.
Meet with vendor representatives for new software solutions, perform user acceptance tests for the solutions and assist in training and deployment.
Provide detailed comparison statement between various application environments and assist in selection of optimum development tools and solutions.
Providing inhouse user training for developed applications and for applications sourced from external agencies. Assist users in usage of applications and in customizations.
Interface and provide clarification, guidance and technical support to construction sites and commissioning engineering for inhouse and outsourced applications, as applicable.
Job/Cost Impact
Responsible for the development, deployment and detailed analysis of automation solutions and to act as interface between various departments and disciplines. Cost/delivery impact situations are reviewed by supervisors.
Decision Making Authority
Responsible for inhouse developments and for providing assistance for applications provided by external agencies.

Physical Effort and Work Environment
Duties performed in main office in air-conditioned surroundings. Occasionally incumbent would require traveling to vendor offices or sites.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering.
Proficiency in computer skills and computer programming including PowerBI. Microsoft Azure and .Net framework is mandatory. Prior experience and exposure to engineering activities is required.
