Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will contribute to a wide range of geotechnical projects, utilizing your expertise in soil mechanics, foundation design, and site investigation techniques.

Conduct geotechnical investigations, field studies, and site assessments to gather critical data for project planning and design Analyze and interpret geotechnical data to develop comprehensive reports and recommendations for construction projects Design foundation systems, retaining structures, and earthworks using industry-standard software and best practices Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall project designs Prepare technical documents, including desk studies, interpretative reports, specifications, and design reports Monitor geotechnical field activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards Liaise with contractors and clients to ensure project expectations and deadlines are met Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians Stay updated on current design codes, standards, and innovative practices in geotechnical engineering Travel to project sites as needed, including potential international assignment

Qualifications

BSc degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related field; advanced degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical investigation and design work Professional Engineer certification or eligibility to obtain certification in the UAE Proven experience in geotechnical designs, including settlement analysis, retaining wall design, foundation design (shallow and deep), earthworks, and slope stability analysis Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PDisp, Repute, CPET-IT, SlopeW/Slide, and Plaxis Strong knowledge of soil and rock mechanics principles and their application in engineering practice Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for technical drawing and modeling Comprehensive understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical engineering Demonstrated ability to prepare, review, and interpret technical documents and reports Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Willingness to travel for project work, both domestically and internationally Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing independent tasks efficiently
