Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Engineer - Geotechnical to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing geotechnical aspects of various construction projects in the region.


Conduct and supervise geotechnical site investigations, including soil and rock borings, test pits, and geophysical testing Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. Identifies discrepancies in results. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision. Analyze field and laboratory data to develop geotechnical design parameters Design foundations, earth retaining structures, and ground improvement solutions for a wide range of projects Utilize advanced geotechnical software to perform complex analyses and modeling Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, work plans, and engineering recommendations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated engineering solutions

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's degree preferred) Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe Minimum of 2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a preference for local project experience Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering Familiarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and local geology in Abu Dhabi Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail Proven ability to manage projects, including scope, schedule, and budget Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams Innovative approach to tackling complex geotechnical challenges Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of geotechnical engineering
