Candidate Specification

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience with power utility projects with EHV substations and OHLs and supervising the site civil works is must.
• Work experience in Middle East with power utilities and/or consultancy is preferred.
• Advanced level proficiency with all MS Office products
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels including external stakeholders
• Ensure Mott MacDonald HSE policies are at the forefront of all activities
• Sound knowledge of professional and international standards

Main Purpose of the Job:
As a Civil Engineer you will be responsible for driving the civil construction activities of the Power Transmission projects during construction stage. As a Civil Engineer you will require to perform the following activities as minimum:

• Supervise and attend all the site inspections offered by EPC contractor.
• Monitor EPC Contractor Site activities and witness the site tests performed by them.
• Notify EPC Contractor of any defect/deficiency observed and advising for proposals for corrective action.
• Review and endorse the construction deliverables such as plans, method statements, material approval requests, test procedures, etc.
• Prepare the daily observation reports and maintain other site documents.
• Monitor and ensure that the work is performed in strict compliance with Company and Client OETC standards and SOP.
