Job Description

Element has an opportunity for an Engineer to join our rapidly expanding Metallurgy team in Abu Dhabi . As a member of the operations team, in this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the laboratory / site environment and ensure timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and engineering leadership, and support development of new technologies within a local laboratory Be accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers including sign-offs of quality control data as acceptable Be expected to obtain guidance in non-routine situation testing and have the ability to oversee standard and/or routine technical problem solving activities Interact with customers on technical issues and questions Provide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers and confidently make formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to clients and others Carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data and assist in the professional development of technicians and engineers within the local laboratory,utilizing an assortment of skill, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis Be adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions Skills / Qualifications

Possess a Bachelors of Science degree in a science or testing related field and have a minimum of 2 years' pertinent post degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications Working knowledge of laboratory safety along with a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element's business Possess a high level of expertise related to scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline and an in-depth understanding of testing concepts Able to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed Possess strong computer skills #LI-SR1 Company Overview
