. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, identifying non-compliance, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine and reactive inspections of premises, sites, or activities to ensure regulatory compliance
Identify violations, document findings, and prepare clear, accurate inspection and enforcement reports
Issue notices, warnings, citations, or orders as required by legislation
Collect evidence through observation, interviews, measurements, and record reviews
Work closely with internal teams, external agencies, and the public to resolve compliance issues
Follow up on corrective actions and re-inspect to ensure compliance is achieved
Maintain accurate records and case files in accordance with legal and organizational standards
Provide guidance and education to stakeholders regarding compliance requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications
Proven experience in
inspection, compliance, or enforcement roles
Strong knowledge of inspection procedures, regulatory standards, and enforcement processes
Experience conducting site visits and documenting inspection findings
Ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and policies
Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in the field
Valid driver's license (if field inspections are required)
Preferred Qualifications
Certification or training related to inspection or enforcement
Experience working in regulatory, municipal, environmental, safety, or compliance-based roles
Familiarity with evidence collection and legal proceedings
